Hi I’m Helen, 

The reason I delightfully accepted an invitation to become a Trustee of Bubble Foundation UK is because I am the parent of a child who had 2 bone marrow transplants and 12 months under the care of ward 3.

As a family, we spent so long away from home under immense stress and the support we received from the Bubble Foundation was fundamental to us, in the hardest time of our lives and in Harriett’s recovery.  

Along with supporting families in day-to-day life on this journey, the Bubble Foundation continues to work behind the scenes conducting valuable research to help save the lives of children like Harriett.  Harriett needed a new type of transplant; she needed a risky transplant. She was world first in part of her treatment, so the research that the Bubble Foundation supports, suddenly became the most valuable part to us. 

I am looking forward to being part of such a family focused, forward thinking, innovative trust. This is my way of giving something back in return for all the incredible care and support we received.
